Creative Purpose Coach, Singer-Pianist, Illustrator & Educator
Music and the arts are both a long-time affair for me. With a career spanning almost 3 decades, my story started when I was first signed by a recording company in Singapore as a pop singer. I had the greatest honour and pleasure of collaborating with some of the industry’s best, including mandopop sensation JJ.Lin, whether in songwriting, lending my voice to the theme song of reputable radio station in Singapore or being remembered as the ethereal voice in the end credits of the hauntingly beautiful cult movie ‘Eating Air’.
In 2003, I co-founded a music school, Replugged Music in Singapore. It was during this time that I discovered my deeper interest in mentoring and coaching singer-songwriters to carve out a career for themselves. I went on to further music education to equip myself to create and conduct lessons more effectively. Since then, I have added to my Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma of Popular Vocals Teaching (London College of Music), Graduate Certificate in Piano (Australian Institute of Music) and have been more recently Coach Tools Certified (Life Coach School).
Currently based in Naarm - Melbourne, Australia, I am offering Voice Lessons to a select group of aspiring singer-songwriters.
Illustration and design is also a large part of my creative expression as well. I feel tremendously blessed to have my illustration featured and published in the editorial world (The Commandment Co, Kallos Singapore) in 2023. In 2025, I am looking to license my fabric designs.
I aim to live by example by embracing my various creative expressions through artistry. Launching Creative Purpose Coaching officially this year to help people connect with their inner voice so they could live their lives more courageously and authentically, makes me feel so much joy.
What is working with me like? You will probably detect Southeast Asian influences in my work, whether presenting a multilingual and culturally rich repertoire (Mandarin, Tagalog, Hawaiian, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia and more), designing wallpaper or fabric with Nyonya Peranakan flavours, or coaching clients from various cities around the world.
